Physical Description

Coronation plaque, commemorating the Coronation of King George VI in May 1937, press-moulded white earthenware, circular with shaped lipped rim, the shallow well with moulded low relief design featuring Westminster Abbey, raised text " CORONATION OF THE KING / MAY / 1937 / WESTMINSTER ABBEY " encircles the design, polychrome lead glaze in brown, blue, yellow and green.
