Physical Description
Large jug-shaped vase, earthenware, wheel-thrown. Egg-shaped vessel with an undercut base and swollen lower body which tapers towards upper body then flares gently towards the rim, small pinched pourer. Angled "branch" handle which loops from upper body to mid-body is finger imprint textured and rustic in appearance with a forked upper terminal. Lower part of the vase featuring deeply incised and closely spaced reeded bands, interior and exterior glazed with an opaque white glaze, footrim unglazed.
