Physical Description
Brooch, silver and blister pearl, Dorothy Wager, [Sydney, New South Wales], Australia, 1981 Bar brooch with detachable pendant fabricated in oxidised 925 silver. Bar is elongated, round cornered triangular shape with openwork foliate applied decoration within rectangular wire perimeter bar. Semi-circular round wire suspension loop projects from bottom centre corner of brooch, designed to carry hook of pendant attachment. Brooch finding consists of hinged pin and rotating safety catch. Detachable pendant features egg shaped blister pearl of irregular convex surface, bezel set and surrounded by loosely twisted round wire and foliate decoration. Pendant can also be worn as decoration on neckpiece 86/100.
