Notes

Richard Thomas Baker (1854-1941) was employed by the Technological Museum (later Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences) Museum from 1888-1921, as Economic Botanist and later Curator. Henry George Smith (1852-1924) was employed by the Museum from 1884, originally as a signwriter but later as Economic Chemist and Assistant Curator to his retirement in 1920. Both were pioneers in Australian phytochemistry.
