Physical Description

A thermometer, made of metal and glass, which consists of a metal rectangular casing with a a rim on two sides. Inside of casing is glass thermometer secured with metal hinges and screws. Printed on metal casing in gold ink is text which reads, 'Tycos / ROCHESTER.NY.U.S.A / 130 / 120 /110 / 100 / 90 / 80 / 70 / 60 / 50 / 40 / 30 / 20 / 10 / 0'. Around the rim of the casing is impressed text which reads, 'ROCHESTER N.Y.U.S.A.' and on the other side, 'TAYLOR INSTRUMENT COMPANIES'.
