Physical Description
Shirt, man's, cotton / human hair, Cameroon, between about 1900 and 1925 Shirt constructed as a wide, loose thigh-length garment. Made of coarse, woven, tan coloured cotton with pale blue woven stripe (appears to be sacking material). Applied all over the garment are small cut pieces of black and red wool flannel, red cotton and felted balls of human hair. The shirt has an hessian inset around a simple cut neck opening. The shirt is sleeveless with turned seam stitched below to form side seams. Turned lower hem.
