Evening shirt, men's, "The Palace Shirt", linen / cotton, Anthony Hordern & Sons, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, 1920-1930 Mens shirt of white cotton, with long sleeves and inset at the front with a "bib" or "dickie". The shirt is collarless. It has a central front opening with four holes for stud fastenings and a tab at centre front near the bottom intended for securing the shirt to the trousers. Manufacturer's label inside centre back of collar and handwritten inscription of owners name.

The manufacturer's label is sewn inside centre of collar at back, it is inscribed, "THE PALACE SHIRT / ANTHONY HORDERN & SONS / HAYMARKET (ONLY)" The shirt was made between 1920 and 1930.
