Physical Description
Printing block, wood, India, c. 1870 Rectangular wooden textile printing block. The printing face has a four-tiered horizontal geometric border design. The handle on top of the block has angled undersides for grip, and is attached to the lower block with small metal nails. The wood is madder dye stained.
