Toy rocket, 'Space Rocket 9', tin plate, friction motor, made by Masudaya / Modern Toys, Japan, c.1970 Cigar shaped rocket made of painted and printed tin plate in red, blue, yellow and black. The rocket has painted details, a front grille, engines on the sides and exhaust pipes down the sides. There is a pilot on the top behind a clear plastic windscreen, the pilot has a moulded plastic head wearing a white and yellow helmet. The rocket has two black plastic wheels at the centre of the base and a smaller yellow tin wheel at the back. Text 'Space rocket' in yellow on both sides, '9' on front and sides.
