Page 4 of 'Exterior Metal Work'. The page contains two halftone photographs with product information. The first for a house 'Erected in Macquarie Street, Sydney' with the 'House Front showing application of Rock-faced Stone Sheets to ground floor and Fish Scale Sheets to balconies.' The second shows no. 850, galvanised steel roofing sheets described as 'suitable for every class of building, particularly Churches and Schools'. All products designed and made by The Wunderlich Patent Ceiling and Roofing Company Limited.

Sydney based company formed in 1885 and taken over in 1969 by CSR.

Wunderlich Limited

The inner city suburb of Redfern is named after William Redfern, a pioneering doctor who came to Australia as a convict in 1801.  He was granted 100 acres in the area of the present suburb of Redfern and built a large home surrounded by gardens.  Sydney's original railway terminus was built in the Cleveland Paddocks and was named after William Redfern.  It was built of iron and in 1874 was replaced by a brick and stone structure, covering two platforms.  The station was the focal point for the Sydney tramway network and was located midway between the present Central and Redfern Stations.  At that time the present Redfern station was known as Eveleigh.  Central Railway Station was opened in 1906 and, as its name suggests, it became the central railway for Sydney city.  The original Redfern Station was closed and the name of Eveleigh Station was changed to Redfern Station.
