Catalogue advertising Wunderlich's exterior metal work range. On the title page the company stated its reason for developing the range: 'Recognising the growing demand for high-class building materials suitable for country districts, where materials and skilled labour are scarce and necessarily dear, we have added the following lines to our already extensive stock.' The catalogue features detailed halftone photographs of the products and other images showing how they looked once installed. Same as A7437-31/2/13.

Wunderlich Limited

The inner city suburb of Redfern is named after William Redfern, a pioneering doctor who came to Australia as a convict in 1801.  He was granted 100 acres in the area of the present suburb of Redfern and built a large home surrounded by gardens.  Sydney's original railway terminus was built in the Cleveland Paddocks and was named after William Redfern.  It was built of iron and in 1874 was replaced by a brick and stone structure, covering two platforms.  The station was the focal point for the Sydney tramway network and was located midway between the present Central and Redfern Stations.  At that time the present Redfern station was known as Eveleigh.  Central Railway Station was opened in 1906 and, as its name suggests, it became the central railway for Sydney city.  The original Redfern Station was closed and the name of Eveleigh Station was changed to Redfern Station.
