A rectangular black and white silver gelatin glass plate negative in portrait format featuring the original Sydney Transit Room. The photograph was taken from the eastern end of the room and shows the Transit Circle with an observing couch, a chronograph, barograph and a bookcase can be seen in the background by the doorway.
