Peace dollar, milled edge. OBVERSE; central design of capped head of Liberty facing left, headband with rays; around above, "LIBERTY"; below, "IN GOD WE TRUST" and the date "1923". REVERSE; central design of a eagle standing right on rock, wings folded; below the eagle, "PEACE"; around above, "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "E.PLURIBUS UNUM"; the eagle divides the face value "ONE DOLLAR".

The Peace dollar is a United States dollar coin minted from 1921 to 1928, and again in 1934 and 1935. Designed by Anthony de Francisci, the coin was the result of a competition to find designs emblematic of peace.
