The photograph was taken by Henry Chamberlain Russell at the Sydney Observatory, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia on 8th October 1890.

HISTORY

Notes

The photograph is one of series taken with a 6 inch portrait lens mounted on the Astrographic Telescope before the Astrographic lens arrived. Several of the photos in this series were enlarged for exhibition at the World Exhibition Chicago 1893.
