Photographic print, black and white, sign on wall advertising gas ovens, designed by Rousel Studios, The Australian Gas Light Company, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, c 1930s Advertising sign designed by Rousel Studios and painted on a building wall to advertise gas ovens sold by A W Donnelley, Drummoyne, New South Wales, Australia. The sign reads, "GAS IS MODERN · QUICKER · CHEAPER/New Automatic/GAS RANGES/for FULL FLAVOUR COOKING". Underneath this is a large circle with the words, "PURCHASE/YOUR GAS/APPLIANCES/HERE". Below this it reads, "A.W. DONNELLEY/LICENSED PLUMBER · GASFITTER & DRAINER". On the right hand side of the sign is a picture of a gas oven. The large circle with the words, "PURCHASE/YOUR GAS/APPLIANCES/HERE" is repeated at the bottom right hand corner of the sign.
