Summary

Physical Description

Negative, black and white, showing small privately hired Sydney Ferry on Sydney Harbour, for the book 'Sydney, A Book of Photographs', 35mm acetate film, David Mist, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, 1969 Negative number 2226. Photograph from negative appears on page 35 of the book, with an incorrect caption "The Harbour is a favourite venue for both pleasure and sport. The Showboat (top and bottom right) allows those who are less energetically inclined to relax and combine a love for the outdoors with the other great Australian passion, drinking." David Mist notes that he sees no conection with the caption on p35 of the book to The Showboat which is not shown in any of the images on that page. He also notes that private hiring of small Sydney ferries was a common event in the 60s.
