Radio receiver, Stromberg-Carlson 5A26 mantle, Bakelite / glass / electronic components / fabric, designed and made by Stromberg-Carlson, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, 1946 Mottled brown Bakelite radio with curved shape, two speakers with five bar speaker grilles. Left-to-right frequency dial at top with frequencies printed in red and white, knight's head logo at left end. Knight's head badge and two control knobs in centre between speakers. Additional knob on left end of body. 'Stromberg-Carlson' printed on blue line on frequency dial. Maker's name and model on back.

HISTORY
Notes
This radio was collected between the late 1940s and the late 1960s when the donor was an active radio electronic engineer operating a business from home building and repairing radios. The donor accumulated a collection of radios, valves, radio journals and assorted electrical engineering material over a lifetime.
