Mortising machine (1) and chisels (10), steel, made by Alex Mathieson & Sons, Glasgow, Scotland, c.1910 1. Mortising machine, hand operated by means of a lever; incorporates a hand operated drill which locks for mortising; two hand wheels control position of the work table. 2. Set of ten chisels, taper shank, all bearing the number "2792", manufactured by Alex Mathieson & Sons, Glasgow, G.B., c.1910. Condition is good. Trademarks: Brand, "Saracen"; trademark, crescent and star; inscribed, "Alex Mathieson & Sons - Saracen - Toolworks - Glasgow". Dimensions 47cm x 72cm x 141cm, with 30cm overhang. (SB).
