Physical Description

Violin, timber, maker, origin and date unknown [possibly Saxony]. Violin, dark to light brown wood tonings. With case. End compartment contains 1 key to fit case, 1 empty envelope for a string, receipt from A.E. Smith & Co. P/L made out to EA Crome, 1 violin peg, 1 piece of wood from bridge, 1 bow end, 1 price list from Smith & Co. Middle compartment contained one block of resin wrapped in one piece of grey velvet marked Lloyd Adams, 1 nylon seamed stocking. (SB).

HISTORY

Notes

EA Crome states that this was his violin when he was a student. and was an old 'Saxonian' violin and case with crocodile skin and blue velvet lining.
