Physical Description

Teapot, Sheffield plate and ebony, maker unknown, England, c. 1810-1830 A classical revival (Regency) Sheffield plate teapot on a circular foot and with a scroll ebony handle. Flattened globular body with a wide flat lip edged with a cast rim accentuated with single rococo shells. Long curving spout reeded along the top, flattened and waisted domed cover topped with a flat circular floral finial.
