Slip on shoe, right of pair, womens, tabbed, silk satin / leather / linen, made by Gundry & Sons, London, England, c1840 Womens tabbed slip on right shoe for indoor wear, turnshoe construction with narrow oval toe and covered wedged heel. Shoe consists of ivory silk satin upper with short tab front, slightly oblique side seams and back seam pink bound. Shoe appears to be missing rose decoration from the tab as for H4448-17. Upper lined in linen and white kid with heel grip at back. Heel covered in the same silk satin as upper and leather sole is white finished. (See object file for specialist report by June Swann)
