Physical Description

Component, support board for filar telescope micrometer, wood / metal, E Esdaile, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, 1940-1950. A rectangular, wooden support board with a circular footing in the centre to hold the telescope filar micrometer in place. The wooden support board forms part of the storage box for the micrometer. Two brass hooks on the front of the board help it to slide in and out of the storage box. Between the brass hooks is a metal nameplate containing the manufacturer's details.
