Physical Description

Lighting equipment, hand held light source, metal / [Bakelite] / cloth / glass, [H Wood], Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, 1940-1950. A hand held light source consisting of a brass tube with a light bulb protruding form one end and an elacterical cord protruding from the other. A short brass tube with a cylindrcal coppper shade fits over the top of the first brass tube in order to direct the light from the light source.

Notes

Information in the blue file attributes the electric fittings to H.Wood at the Sydney Observatory. According to the blue file, alterations were made to the micrometer around 1945.
