Summary

Physical Description

(-1) Set of troy weight standards (incomplete), in polished wooden box with blue velvet lining. 12 weights ranging from 6 lb to 2 dwt. Each weight is globular shaped with narrow neck and flattened knob, and stamped with the 'VR', 'GR' and 'ER' insignia. (-2) Set of troy weight standards, apparently complete.

Notes

Weights are stamped 1883 and 1884. Stamped with the ciphers of Victoria, Edward VII and George V. Presumably used until presented to the Museum in 1917.
