Physical Description

Portrait bust depicting the head, shoulders and upper torso of Sir Henry Parkes, the father of Australian Federation, stands on a circular pedestal, entirely cast in bronze, the bronze has been finished with a black pigment which has worn away in places. The title "Sir Henry Parkes G.C.M.G", is engraved into the front, lower, edge of the pedestal. The bust was cast by Samuel Slater of T Green & Co Pty Ltd, of Sydney, in the early 20th Century (c. 1900-1912). The sculptor is unknown.
