Physical Description

Figure of Buddha in hollow cast gilt bronze. Figure is seated crossed legged on double lotus throne (dhyanasana position) with right hand draped down over leg (bhumisparsa mudra - touch the earth) and left hand cupped in lap (dhyana mudra). Finely detailed features with downcast facial expression, painted details and elongated ear lobes. Hair tightly curled and pigmented with blue. Figure wears a pleated robe. Incised inscription below figure.
