Cocktail hat, womens, sequins / braid / velvet, made by Leba Karpin (later Leba Bovard 1917-1976), Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, 1945-1955 Brown velvet cocktail hat with sequins and braid applied around the sides of the crown in concentric wave pattern. The centre front has a metal motif imitating a feather which extends up and over the side toward the back and is secured down in the centre with a piece of cording. There is a synthetic brown interior lining and a hat elastic for support.
