Gijs Bakker (b. 1942) is a jewellery and industrial-designer who trained at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam (1962), and the Konstfack Skolen in Stockholm (1963). He works across a broad range of functions and materials, including furniture, appliances, interiors, jewellery and exhibitions, as well as teaching design at various schools in the Netherlands since 1987. Bakker founded design companies, 'Droog Design' in 1993 and 'Chi Ha Paura…?' in 1996.
