PRODUCTION
Notes
Designed by Graeme MacDonald of Design Field in 1983-4 Made by Victa in Sydney in 1984 Released in 1984 Victa and CSIRO developed the 'Vortex action' blade disc, this principle uses swirling sucking action to lift the grass before cutting and transporting into the catcher. Because the blades are not required to fling the grass into the catcher, lower speeds are required and therefore less noise. Reference: 'Design Field Portfolio', Design World, November 1983, p 32-53.
