Summary

Physical Description

A totem-like glazed earthenware sculpture consisting of six elements each positioned on top of the other (listing from the bottom): large white cylinder decorated with medium horizontal red stripes; medium cylinder decorated with three bands of colour, yellow, lime green and sky blue; large elongated black form with a swollen central section and a small base and top; small white cylinder or 'collar'; large orange sphere, slightly squashed horizontally; and a small red cylinder. These six elements are positioned on a large wooden cube covered in white laminate with an applied metal label on the top face which reads:'Sottsass Menta 13/20 Mirabili Italy'. A number of metal rods, washers and screws pass through the centre of the sculpure providing reinforcement.
