Photograph album, 'The Four Pilgrims Progress thro the Fire Country Jan 1929', paper/photography, maker unknown, Australia, 1929. Hand made and bound photograph album. Designed in landscape format with single pages bound together with twine. The front cover is made from brown board with red text on front. A specially cut flap at the inside front enables the book to be secured closed by inserting flap into incisions on the back cover. Inside the book is comprising text in prose used to illustrate various small black and white photographic images. The book traces the adventures of one family as they travel from their home near Bankstown down the south coast of Australia and on to Canberra and their journey back home again.
