Physical Description

Hair comb, wood, maker unknown, Japan, c 1900. Wooden comb with broad curved back and corresponding curve along the edge of the teeth; teeth taper down from curved back to create a triangle profile; teeth are very fine and are close together; one wider end tooth has been broken off and is missing. Note: The comb is marked G510, this is a Gouldburn number and relates to the large Henry Collection of Japanese combs.
