Suspender belt, sample, womens, tricot lycra, Berlei, Australia, 1966. Pull-on suspender belt made of white printed tricot lycra. All over repeat pattern of pink roses with green foliage. Centre front is decorated with a small white bow. Four adjustable suspenders around hem.

This suspender belt is typical of the 'youth' orientated undergarments of the 1960s. New fibres heralded the decline in functional foundation wear. There was also a marketing change for Berlei at this time which saw them selling to teenagers who did not need corsetry.
