Vase, stoneware, made by Doulton, decorated by Florence E. Barlow, England, 1883. Vase, ovoid shape with a long, narrow neck and a flaring rim, orange/brown ground with a pattern of dark brown flowers and leaves, two shaped panels on body surrounded by dark brown beading, panels are stippled and each decorated with two birds on branches in cream and olive green, pate-sur-pate technique, scrolls and leaves in brown tones between each panel (OF). Vase pate sur pate (by Miss F Barlow) (SB). Doulton vase, pate sur pate, 12 1/2" high, 4 birds and leaf design, signed Florence Barlow (LC).
