Plaque, earthenware, faience glaze, hand-painted by James Cruikshank, Doulton and Co., Lambeth, London, England, c.1880 Plaque, circular, border of vases, mythical birds, garlands, bosses in white and yellow on a blue background, centre circle contains a portrait (head and shoulders only) of a young man with long hair and a moustache wearing a leather hat, a metal neck plate (armour) and a brown tunic (OF). Lambeth Faience 12" Plaque (Turk's head) [12 has been crossed out and 20 written in pencil] (SB). Wall-plaque - head of cavalier, 20 1/2", painted by James Cruikshank (LC).
