Physical Description

Plaster slip-cast mould, for Vase No V-31 SG, a 5 piece stage 3 case mould for slip casting in earthenware; the main panel -1 with decorative surface in high relief is rectangular and recessed within the open faced case, one side only of a vase in the shape of a fish (with its tail curled over its back and a conical shell placed diagonally to the body, the mouth of the shell forms the rim of the vase), the recessed panel flanked and held in place by four border pieces to produce a rectangular case mould (with right corner scooped) when assembled.
