Physical Description
Storage jar (bung jar), wheel-thrown, in a traditional German folk pottery style. Cylindrical container with a flat base, straight sides, rounded shoulder and waisted neck with a rounded everted lip. Lead glazed a glossy, deep reddish-brown colour with darker iron spot streaks and with the glaze falling short of the base.
