Photographic print, black & white, advertising signs for David Jones advertising The 'Castlereagh' Felt Hat, business shoes, McCall Patterns, and Royal Worcester Girdles, designed by Rousel Studios, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, c 1925 Four advertising signs designed by Rousel Studios placed side-by-side on the scaffolding at a construction site which advertise products available at the Sydney department store, David Jones. The sign on the left reads, "DAVID JONES'/Sydney's Outstanding Hat Value/The 'Castlereagh' Pure Fur Felt/21/-". On the far right hand side there is a side-on picture of a man wearing suit, shirt and tie as well as a light coloured hat with a dark band. The second sign reads, "BUSINESS SHOES/only at/DAVID JONES". The sign features a picture of a pair of leather shoes. In the bottom left hand corner it reads, "All sizes/One price/26/9". The third sign reads, "New shipments bring/McCall Patterns/ for the popular SMOKING & SPORTS JACKET/only at DAVID JONES. On either side of this sign there are pictures of women wearing jackets and hats. The main part of the final sign reads, ROYAL/WORCESTER/GIRDLES/only at/DAVID JONES.
